    The Wild Swan Theatre Company, Gort are to bring their hit performance of the hilarious comedy by MJ Ginnelly called 'A Wake In The West' to Glor on Wednesday Sept.15th.

The play has enjoyed a remarkable 8 night sell out run in Gorts Town Hall Theatre and is being performed in Belfasts Cultúrlann Theatre on August 5th. Audience reviews have been nothing but glowing for the side - splitting comedy which has received standing ovations every night.

Staying along side half way to Aran, and later came to meet us on our return leg. Great fun, Ella watched as Chloe and Kelly got in, swam out to the boat to meet us and got to rub Faoine , the Irish for ring.............................

        Retired anthropologist donates valuable archive to Kinvara (and the Nation)

    A selection of images (366) by anthropologist Robert Cresswell, are now available on Kinvara Online. Also, a 2011 Calendar of Cresswell's images of Kinvara, produced by Kinvara Community Council, is now available for sale.

    Kinvara Young Musicians
    Just to let you know that the musicians from 4th and 5th classes in St Joseph's NS will be taking part in a new project being run this summer called the Kinvara Young Musicians Project. As part of the project the musicians will do a performance of 'Irish Traditional and World Music each Tuesday night beginning on 6th of July and running each Tuesday in July and August. There will be guest adult musicians each week from the local music community and we will also be joined by some teenage past pupils as well as young musicians from Ballindereen, New Quay and Clarinbridge. The performances will take place in Johnson's Hostel from 8pm to 9pm and the doors will be open to the public at 7 45pm. The main target audience is tourists but all, of course, are welcome. Entrance is 5 euro for adults with children free if accompanied by an adult.
