In May, local Kinvara girl, Ailbhe Timmons is heading to Malawi along with a team of volunteers to construct an educational and feeding centre in a local village in the Mangochi region of Malawi. Over the month of May, 3 teams of volunteers will each spend 10 days working to construct the building, which will provide 60 children a day with a nutritious meal and three hours of basic nursery education, provided by village ladies trained by the Playgroups Association of Malawi.

The running and administration of the centre will be managed by the village communities, with Open Arms Malawi providing the educational materials and teachers’ wages.

For further details on the event contact Trish on (087)6972226 or email ailbhe_t@hotmail.com
