Kilcolgan Educate Together Primary School for South Galway Kilcolgan Educate Together Committee are delighted to announce that their new Educate Together school has received sanction from the Minister for Education and Science Mary Hannafin TD to open in September 2008. It will serve the wider South Galway area. The new school will be located in Kilcolgan and enrolments for 2008 and other years are still being accepted. To celebrate this and provide parents, children and the community with an opportunity to come together, a family day picnic party is being organised on Monday 5th May (bank holiday) from 3-5pm in the grounds of Kilcolgan Castle. There will be entertainment for children including a bouncy castle and puppet show and information on the school will be given to parents. Food will not be provided, so please bring your own picnic. There is no cover charge for the event, but donations towards the setting up of the new school will be gladly accepted. In the event of poor weather, it will take place inside the castle.
